Following a successful low-dose experience, I decided to explore a moderate dose of Piper nigrum (botany).
T+0:00 - Dosed after a light breakfast. Set and setting carefully prepared.
T+0:45 - Come-up more noticeable at this dose. Distinct shift in perception and mood. Some mild physical effects.
T+1:30 - Full effects. This dose reveals much more of the substance's character than my previous low dose. I can understand why it has its reputation.
T+3:00 - Moving through the peak. Taking time to observe the mental, physical, and perceptual effects. Journaling my observations.
T+5:00 - Gradual comedown. The experience is resolving cleanly with no significant residual effects.
Next day: No hangover or negative aftereffects. Feel clear and reflective.
At this dose I got a complete picture of what Piper nigrum (botany) offers. Each compound has its own personality and this one was worthwhile getting to know. As always, individual responses vary enormously — what's moderate for me might be strong for someone else. Start low.
